In Assassin's Creed: Shadows, in addition to the standard difficulty setting, there will be 3 additional modes that exist in parallel:

- Directed exploration: quests and targets for elimination will always be marked on the map, the game will always lead you directly to the task goal. In this case, the game will become much more straightforward
- Canonical mode: during the passage, it will be impossible to make key decisions - so you will see the story in its canonical, from the point of view of the scriptwriters, form
- Immersive mode: characters will speak their native language. The Japanese will speak Japanese, and the Portuguese, respectively, will speak Portuguese
